The best alternative drive with the theoretically highest potential is worth nothing if it cannot be integrated is a way that meets the demands customers place on modern vehicles. At IAV, this is why suitability for series production comes first and foremost in all of its considerations. The alternative drives developed at IAV are market-orientated so as to offer the customer added value in return for the inevitable added costs. In doing so, IAV draws on its many years of experience in drive development which not only covers all types of transmissions, but also encompasses every aspect of powertrain management.

In order to offer a contemporary drive concept for the many different traffic scenarios and special applications in the future too, IAV is working on the development of alternative vehicle drive systems.
