Injection Systems
The injection system has a major influence on combustion-engine emissions, fuel economy and noise. For IAV, therefore, it is an integral component of combustion process development and engine calibration. In the meantime, the company can look back on almost 20 years of successful project work.
IAV's central aim is to provide first-class expertise covering every aspect of the process involved in developing injection systems. IAV offers services covering all processes involved in developing injection systems. A development activity may, for instance, start with studies to formulate a concept, for benchmarking or component selection. This can then be taken as the basis for simulating models of parts or even an entire injection system. A substantial part of development focuses on component, assembly and overall system layout, including specific adaptations, e.g., for integrating sensors. Much of the process is taken up by the many different testing activities carried out on individual components, fuel supply systems and entire injection systems for diesel, gasoline as well as NG engines.
