Electrical Energy Management
The growing number of electrified vehicle components and systems comes with a problem: How to provide sufficient electrical energy while the vehicle is running? The reason why vehicle developers are looking for ways to generate and use electrical energy efficiently.
This is a subject that touches upon many different fields. With our expertise covering the whole vehicle, we are predestined providers of innovative approaches.In particular, IAV works on this subject at the following levels:
- Component development from the aspect of the OEM across the engineering process to SOP level, including concept, specification and integration as well as testing, e.g. for the generator, battery management system, high-performance batteries, power supply control units or DC/DC converter
- Development of overarching strategies on power-consumer control, failure safety concepts and simulation
- Analysis of existing systems and sensing of power consumers while operating and idling, assessment of power-consumer efficiency
- Development of the above-mentioned components from the component supplier's point of view, e.g. algorithm development, hardware development, software development and testing
