Rights
Any individual concerned, including you as a visitor to our website, has the right to determine how personal data is used. The German Federal Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz – BDSG) provides the individual concerned with inalienable rights, such as the right to receive information about data relating or capable of being related to their person and to demand that such data be corrected, blocked or erased.

Collection, processing and use of personal data
In general, personal data may only be collected, processed and used if such is permitted by a provision in law or you have given your consent to such being done. The German Federal Data Protection Act may apply further restrictions. For instance, it only permits the collection, processing and use of personal data to the extent necessary, for a closely defined purpose and in observance of individuals' interests warranting protection. Overriding legislation may nonetheless provide for other stipulations in this regard.
Disclosure to third parties
It is not our policy to pass on personal data to third parties or entities outside IAV GmbH. Nor is it our policy to sell your personal data (address or contact data) or make it available to third parties.
Job applications
The personal data entered into an electronic job application form will be stored by IAV GmbH. If this job application results in no further activities and no employment relationship, we shall erase any personal details submitted to us. This will be done after six months at the latest. If you have included yourself in the applicant tool, your personal details will be deleted after 12 months.
Personal data you provide by e-mail will be stored by IAV GmbH .They will be deleted as soon as your enquiry has been processed.
Encryption
Any contact made on our website, be it in the form of a job application through the careers portal at www.iav-inside.com or in the form of an inquiry using the relevant electronic form, will always be encrypted. However, IAV GmbH is unable to accept any liability for e-mails sent through your provider. If you contact us in this way, please take steps yourself to ensure your message is encrypted. We wish to point out that any information submitted in non-encrypted form is not protected from the attention of third parties.
Closed user area
Access to the closed user area is only possible after receiving prior authorization from IAV GmbH. If you do not wish to use this area any longer, please notify us at contact@iav.com. The personal data required to access it will then be deleted immediately.
Press mailing list
If you wish, you can ask to be included in our press mailing list. The data requested in this context will only be stored for this purpose.
Customer newspaper automotion
The data requested for sending our customer newspaper »automotion« will only be processed for this purpose. If you are no longer interested in receiving our customer newspaper, you can cancel it by e-mailing contact@iav.com. Your data will then be deleted from the mailing list immediately.
Web statistics
Our aim is to tailor our website to meet actual needs in a process of continual optimization. We do this by collecting web statistics and evaluating them with an analysis tool (econda Site Monitor). This involves studying a variety of factors, such as average time on site, bounce rate or the use of links. This analysis remains anonymous. The use of cookies provides a way of recognizing your browser. Your IP address, however, is erased immediately on receipt, making it impossible to trace individuals or compile personal profiles.
