Our expertise in the entire vehicle is particularly evident in powertrain development: Our specialists develop state-of-the-art and efficient spark-ignition and diesel engines, cost and package-optimized transmissions as well as all of the powertrain’s electronics. And IAV was a pioneer in sustainable mobility even 30 years ago – in 1986, our “Eco-Polo” hit the headlines with a fuel consumption of 1.7 liters per 100 kilometers, and in 1998 we presented “uni1”, a diesel-electric hybrid vehicle, together with partners.
Since then, we have consistently expanded our expertise in hybrid and electric drive systems – because in future too, our mission will continue to be: We want to be the No. 1 in all walks of powertrain development.
