IAV and ITS Niedersachsen Extend Invitation to 10th Symposium on Hybrid and Electric Vehicles

As a leading engineering partner in this domain and in cooperation with ITS Niedersachsen, IAV is extending an invitation to the 10th Symposium on Hybrid and Electric Vehicles which, with talks from high-caliber speakers, is set to provide an exciting and interesting program for the many experts who will be attending. The symposium is taking place on February 13 and 14 in Braunschweig Civic Hall. Symposium highlight is the traditional driving event at IAV’s Gifhorn operation.

IAV Awards Hermann Appel Prize to Young Talented Engineers
08.11.2012 –IAV is awarding the ninth Hermann Appel Prize which this year goes to seven outstanding junior engineers. The prize-winning works address current issues in automobile development and innovative technologies. Ways of optimizing patient comfort in ambulances, for instance, are among the subjects examined.

Sparks of Genius for the Gasoline Engine of Tomorrow
06.11.2012 –Berlin. IAV is holding the first international conference on “Ignition Systems for Gasoline Engines” in Berlin on November 12 and 13. Attention will be centering on the question of whether the classic spark plug needs to be replaced with alternative systems in tomorrow’s gasoline engines. Experts from manufacturers, component suppliers and research will be providing a glimpse at the latest progress being made by the developers.

Aachen Colloquium Successful Event for IAV

The 21st Aachen Colloquium on Vehicle and Engine Technology (October 8 to 10, 2012) was a successful event for IAV: Over a thousand visitors to the booth were keen to learn about IAV current and eco-friendly development activities. IAV Presents New Developments for Eco-Friendly Vehicles in Aachen
04.10.2012 –Berlin – IAV will be present at the 21st Aachen Colloquium on Vehicle and Engine Technology (October 8 to 10, 2012) with three exhibits: The company’s booth is showing a highly integrated powertrain unit for electric vehicles, an innovative gasoline engine with cylinder activation and an HiL environment that IAV has developed. In a report, Berlin University of Technology will be presenting the results of an FVV (Combustion Engine Research Association) project conducted in cooperation with Magdeburg Otto-von-Guericke University and IAV and focusing on a noise-controlled diesel engine.

Gas-Powered Vehicles – The Logical Way to Reduce CO2
19.09.2012 –Berlin – The 7th IAV conference on gaseous-fuel vehicles is taking place in Potsdam on September 24 and 25. Participants will be able to gather information on the state of the art and developments in the policy framework in presentations given by experts. A driving event will also provide the opportunity to get to know various makes of gaseous-fuel vehicles on a test track.

IAV Is Staging the 9th Symposium on “Automotive Powertrain Control Systems” on September 20 and 21, 2012
12.09.2012 –Berlin – At its 9th “Automotive Powertrain Control Systems” symposium, IAV is teaming up with carmakers and component suppliers to show what defines the latest control systems for the modern powertrain. Interactive highlight at the conference is the driving event that will be presenting exciting drive concepts in electric, hybrid and combustion-engined vehicles. Participants will be given the opportunity on the apron of Berlin's Tempelhof Airport to find out what the new models are like to drive.
