Even back in the 1990s – well before IAV opened its office in Munich – business ties between IAV and its Bavarian customers were close. Early projects focused more on calibration and engine development. The engineering partner continues to be involved in large-scale projects to this very day, having attracted the coveted “Engine of the Year Award” five years in a row.

More than Powertrain and Engine Management

IAV is renowned for its wide range of skills and is also rolling them out more and more at the Munich site. In addition to expertise built up over many years in powertrains and calibration, attention is increasingly focusing on activities from body development as well as passive and active safety. The development partner sets out to provide its customers with the greatest possible range of competencies at local level even if the scope and demands of a project can always be met by the combination of all IAV operations working together.
