This is the result of an international adjudicating panel comprising industry experts from companies, such as Unilever, Procter & Gamble as well as non-profit organizations. The award is one of the world’s most-respected branding accolades.

As a leading engineering partner in this domain and in cooperation with ITS Niedersachsen, IAV is extending an invitation to the 10th Symposium on Hybrid and Electric Vehicles which, with talks from high-caliber speakers, is set to provide an exciting and interesting program for the many experts who will be attending. The symposium is taking place on February 13 and 14 in Braunschweig Civic Hall. Symposium highlight is the traditional driving event at IAV’s Gifhorn operation.

  • Sparks of Genius for the Gasoline Engine of Tomorrow

    Berlin. IAV is holding the first international conference on “Ignition Systems for Gasoline Engines” in Berlin on November 12 and 13. Attention will be centering on the question of whether the classic spark plug needs to be replaced with alternative systems in tomorrow’s gasoline engines. Experts from manufacturers, component suppliers and research will be providing a glimpse at the latest progress being made by the developers.

  • IAV Presents New Developments for Eco-Friendly Vehicles in Aachen

    Berlin – IAV will be present at the 21st Aachen Colloquium on Vehicle and Engine Technology (October 8 to 10, 2012) with three exhibits: The company’s booth is showing a highly integrated powertrain unit for electric vehicles, an innovative gasoline engine with cylinder activation and an HiL environment that IAV has developed. In a report, Berlin University of Technology will be presenting the results of an FVV (Combustion Engine Research Association) project conducted in cooperation with Magdeburg Otto-von-Guericke University and IAV and focusing on a noise-controlled diesel engine.

    Berlin – The 7th IAV conference on gaseous-fuel vehicles is taking place in Potsdam on September 24 and 25.   • Best Possible Occupant Protection at Low Weight

    IAV is working on a new safety concept for electric vehicles in cooperation with Daimler, Autoliv and Munich University of Technology (TUM): As part of the German Education and Research Ministry’s “Visio.M” research project, IAV’s experts are developing solutions that combine minimum weight with the best possible protection for occupants. The aim is to build extremely lightweight e-cars that provide a level of safety similar to that of conventional vehicles.

  • IAV Expands Chemnitz Development Center

    Berlin – IAV is extending its activities in Chemnitz and will be opening a new development center in 2014. This will give the company a basis for further growth. Costing around € 30 million, the project is set to start in August 2012. When the first construction phase is completed, the development center will create around 150 additional jobs.
