Whether individual components or function modules – all development processes at IAV are geared toward the demands of the overall vehicle. Particularly when it comes to intermeshing functions, seemingly contradictory development aims must be brought into harmony. For example, the aim of fuel economy must be united with the aim of dynamic driving performance. Expertise in the overall vehicle has become indispensable because in this day and age cause and effect are often miles apart.
Holistic Optimization
On the service market, the efficient development of specified vehicle characteristics is only available within IAV's interconnected portfolio of competencies. For instance, the interior and exterior modules we develop for OEMs or module and system suppliers are always the product of collaboration with our electrics and electronics development team. By the same token, the layout of body structure is defined in close cooperation with our drive and chassis developers.
