IAV uses state-of-the-art CAD/CAE work environments as well as cutting-edge measurement and testing facilities in base engine development.

In satisfying the demands of our clients, we use a large number of CAD systems (Pro/E, CATIA V4/V5, Unigraphics, ICEM_DDN) with different add-on modules (e.g. PE-Check, Fubit, Power/Gearwheel, Wallchecker, CE/TOL, L-Cable,VOBES etc.).
The demands placed on the quality of CAD data are complex and diverse. Alongside generally applicable criteria are client-specific requirements that must be met on the basis of agreements or specifications.
The quality of CAD data contributes to the overall quality of development work. In addition to the processes of quality assurance (ISO 9001), requirements must be imposed on suppliers and partners to minimize the risk of additional cost and effort.
High-quality measurement systems provide the basis for conducting all tests relevant to base engine development.
