Powertrain Development
Developing a complete engine and then integrating it into the defined package of a production vehicle or prototype. This is one of IAV's prime disciplines. Because we master all the complex development processes this involves.
Our attention focuses on developing diesel and spark-ignition engines. This process begins at the concept phase: Initial ideas are translated into simulation models and examined for their potential. The next stage covers prototyping and component testing. Finally, we carry out basic calibration on engine test benches and test the overall system on the road. In developing new engines or improving existing ones, the emphasis in most cases is on optimizing efficiency while significantly reducing pollutant emissions. Although this is achieved using perfected methods and first-class technical facilities, it is primarily the accomplishment of highly trained and motivated staff with imagination and a realistic eye for the feasible.
IAV uses state-of-the-art technologies and hi-tech instruments to develop entire powertrains to SOP level and integrate them in the overall vehicle.
