Pedestrian Protection

IAV can draw on many years of experience in the field of pedestrian protection.

In doing so, we combine our competencies from the areas of computation, design and testing.  As one of only a few service providers, we also operate our own test rigs on the subject of pedestrian protection.




We can perform the following pedestrian protection tests for you:

• "Head" impactor test to WG 17, ACEA, EURO-NCAP, MLIT (Japan)
• Application area: front-end zone as defined in law (e.g. hoods, fenders, windshields)
• "Legform" impactor test to WG 17, ACEA, EURO-NCAP
• Application area: front-end zone as defined in law (e.g. bumper, hood, headlamps)
• "Upper legform" impactor test to WG 17, EURO-NCAP
• Application area: front-end zone as defined in law (z. B. bumper, hood, headlamps)
