As a Test Engineer for Vehicle Safety, Nils contributes to the ongoing development of passive vehicle safety. He is responsible for planning, executing, and analyzing crash tests, also for electric vehicles.

In this video, Nils and his team crash a randomly chosen older model. This crash helped prepare a complex test setup for a consumer protection crash test. Prototype protection and secrecy are extremely important for our job. That is why we would never crash drive a new vehicle in front of a running camera in the development process.

Nils is a trained body and vehicle builder and certified mechanical technician. He has been working at IAV in Großmehring since 2017.
