Methodical approach and learning new things are crucial

Chris works as a Data Scientist for AI and Machine Learning. He solves physical problems with data-driven models and machine learning algorithms in the areas of control engineering, catalytic converter and engine modeling, as well as applications. He prefers to program in Python and conduct tests in the driving simulator and in vehicles.

Chris studied engineering physics with a focus on numerical analysis and simulation. He has been on board since 2015. Following an internship, his bachelor’s thesis, and work-study, he is now employed at IAV in Berlin. He is currently working on his PhD in the field of reinforced deep learning.
