    Siemens campus in Munich-Perlach to field-test autonomous driving

    Siemens Mobility is launching a field test for autonomous driving at the Siemens campus in Munich-Perlach, Germany. Working with partners IAV GmbH, Institute for Climate Protection, Energy and Mobility (IKEM) e.V., emm Solutions GmbH, UTB Projektmanagement GmbH and the Technical University of Munich (TUM), Siemens Mobility is initiating a research project and field test.     On the Way to 45 Percent Efficiency

    Under the motto “Intelligent Powertrain – Concepts and Technologies for Minimum Emissions and Maximum Efficiency”, IAV will be showing a redesigned base engine and a highly efficient DHT planetary transmission at the 27th Aachen Colloquium Automobile and Engine Technology (October 8 to 10, 2018).     World Premiere: IAV Elocity – E-Drive For Commercial Vehicles

    Berlin, At the IAA Commercial Vehicles Motor Show in Hanover (September 20 to 27, 2018), the automotive engineering services provider IAV and electric vehicle retrofitting specialist Tassima are presenting the very first double-decker bus to be converted to the IAV Elocity electric drive. Visitors can watch a 3D augmented and virtual reality demonstration of the IAV Elocity technology inside the vehicle. Once development to the level of manufacturing readiness has been completed, the parts kit will then be available as customized standard product for retrofitting commercial vehicles and for the manufacturers of new vehicles. At the IAA Commercial Vehicles Motor Show, the project partners are presenting the prototype consisting of a Berlin double-decker bus converted to an electric drive with a range of approx. 120 km.
