What data do we process and for which purpose?

In principle, you can visit our website without revealing your identity.

Access to our website is logged by our server in a log file. This is done for statistical purposes and to the extent necessary for security purposes. The following data is saved in the logfile of the web server: IP address of the visitor, date and time of access, called URL, referrer (insofar as transmitted by the client), browser and version (if transmitted by the client). This data is saved for 28 days.

As far as any personal data (for example your name, your address or E-Mail address) are raised by us, this takes place on voluntary basis.

However, using some of the services we offer on our websites may require us to process additional information from you. This concerns the following:

Newsletter

If you would like to subscribe to our newsletter, we require your title, your email address and your name so as to be able to reach you. Optionally, you can specify the first name and the associated company. The link to the newsletter can be found at https://www.iav.com/aktuelles/newsletter.

After registering for the newsletter, our system will send you an email with an activation link, confirming the newsletter registration. This ensures that you are indeed the owner of the specified email address and that you agree to receive the newsletter. The inclusion in the mailing list and the sending of newsletters will only take place if you have confirmed the activation link for the receipt of newsletters in the registration email (double opt-in procedure).

If you are already in contact with us, we will use your existing electronic contact data in order to send you our newsletter without explicit request. You may object to the use of the contact data at any time with effect for the future without incurring other than the transmission costs according to the basic rates.

If you wish to unsubscribe from our newsletter, you can do so directly via the unsubscribe link at the end of each newsletter email or send us an email to events@iav.com.

Press distributor

Upon request you can be included in our press mailing list.
In order to be able to reach you, we need your title, your email address, your first name and name, the medium in which you want to publish as well as the editor’s office, street, postal code and city. Optionally, you may specify an address suffix. The link to the mailing list can be found at https://www.iav.com/en/formulare/press-distribution-list.

Application process

You can send us your documents via the online application form, by email or by post.
An application via IAV Group’s career portal is generally encrypted. However, we cannot assume any liability for sending emails via your respective provider.

Depending on the type of application, we require your contact details, your email address, details of your professional qualification in the form of apprenticeship and / or employment certificates and your professional CV.

By applying to us, you provide your personal data to all IAV Group companies. Basically, only those people have access to your data, who are internally involved in filling the advertised vacancy. In the event that we currently cannot offer you a suitable position, we store your data beyond the date of rejection, so that your application may be considered in future job postings. We save your data for nine months after the date of rejection. If you do not agree, you may object to the storage at any time.

The personal data provided by you during the application process will be processed by IAV GmbH for all IAV Group companies.

If you would like to make your documents available to only one IAV Group company, please send us the application with a note in paper form to the address

IAV GmbH
C-HR

A given consent can be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future.

Please note that the revocation only works for the future. Processing that took place before the revocation is not affected by this.

If your application leads to an employment relationship, your personal data, insofar as this is necessary for the fulfillment of legal requirements, will be forwarded to state institutions and authorities, such as social insurance institutions. In addition, we may be required by law to provide personal information to government agencies to meet regulatory requirements.

Share buttons for social media (Twitter, XING, LinkedIn, Facebook)

On this website you will find privacy-compliant buttons that allow you to share pages on social networks. These buttons are implemented as external links (for Facebook eg. with "sharer.php"). YouTube

Our website contains at least one plugin from YouTube, belonging to Google Inc., located in San Bruno, California, USA. As soon as you visit our website with a YouTube plug-in, you will be connected to the servers of YouTube. In the process, the YouTube server is informed about which particular page of our internet presence you visited. If you are also logged in to your YouTube account, YouTube would allow you to associate your browsing experience directly with your personal profile. You can undo this possibility of assignment if you log out of your account beforehand. For more information about YouTube's collection and use of your information, please read the privacy policy at https://www.youtube.com/.

Links of third parties

The websites of IAV may contain links to third-party websites that are not operated by IAV or subsidiaries of IAV. IAV does not endorse the third-party websites accessible through links and is not responsible for their contents.

To what extent is there automated decision-making in individual cases?

By signing up for our newsletter, you will still have the opportunity to opt-in and use personal information to send you personalized promotional offers or communications about events that may interest you.

For this purpose, we create pseudonymized usage profiles by means of so-called web beacons (one-pixel image files) which are contained in our newsletter emails and which link to our website and thus enable us to evaluate the user behavior with regard to the emails.

Your usage profiles will never be merged with your personal data. The pseudonyms will not be linked to your personal information (for example, your email address or IP address), thus excluding any direct accessibility of user profiles. You can object to the creation of user profiles at any time with effect for the future
