Change in the top management:

Dr. Uwe Horn will be new President and Chief Human Resources Officer at IAV

Berlin. Dr. Uwe Horn will be joining the top management at IAV as from January 1, 2020. This has been decided by the company’s competent committees. The previous Managing Director of Autostadt in Wolfsburg will succeed Kai-Stefan Linnenkohl, who is leaving the automotive engineering specialist after almost five years.

CEO Dr. Ulrich Eichhorn said: “We are pleased to have found such a qualified successor for Kai-Stefan Linnenkohl. We are a rapidly growing company. Our know-how is in great demand, both for the development of modern combustion engines and as expertise for future technologies, such as e-mobility, connectivity and autonomous driving. Uwe Horn will be exactly the right person to continue successfully reinforcing the development of our human resources.”

Eichhorn continued: “We would like to thank Kai-Stefan Linnenkohl for his passionate commitment to IAV. He made a crucial contribution to ensuring that our human resources structures have kept pace with our growth and that we are now one of the absolute top employers in the automotive industry. Kai-Stefan Linnenkohl will assume a responsible international position for the Volkswagen Group, for which we wish him every success.“

In the past, the 57-year-old was employed as Head of Human Resources at the VW-plants in Zwickau and in Poznan (Poland), among other things. Since 2018, he has been Member of the Management Board of Autostadt in Wolfsburg.

In his future role, Uwe Horn will be responsible for human resources as well as occupational health and safety. His remit also includes initial and advanced vocational training, social welfare and the company retirement scheme.
