02.06.2022  —

Engineering company IAV is integrating the wholly owned subsidiary, which currently has 20 employees, into its own corporate processes by the end of August 2022. CPU 24/7, based in Potsdam, is Germany’s leading cloud provider in the field of engineering and has been supporting the digitalization of companies of all sizes for more than 15 years.

With the integration of CPU 24/7, IAV is responding to the growing demand in the market for cloud-based solutions for automotive IT and is thus consistently moving further in the direction of its own target image of Tech Solution Provider. In this way, IAV is strengthening its position in the cloud field and, as a modern company, is at the same time offering cloud natives a professional working environment.

“The majority of the new colleagues will strengthen the IT area at IAV in the future. This is a logical step in terms of content. Here, topics come together that belong together,” says Karsten Gierke, Managing Director CPU 24/7.

“With the seamless integration of the new colleagues, we will in particular strongly advance the establishment and further development of our cloud infrastructure and the associated services. The development and operation of hybrid cloud infrastructures is a strategically important building block for IAV to design high-quality, integrative complete solutions of the future. This is where we can build a competitive advantage over other market players,” says Saskia Kohlhaas, Senior Vice President of Information Technology & Services at IAV.

CPU 24/7 began by providing managed high-performance computing environments for CAE/CAD applications. In recent years, it has strategically built up platform-as-a-service and software-as-a-service offerings based on both its own hardware and public cloud infrastructures.
