On the heels of a very unusual 2020, we launched a company-wide call. We received over 200 nominations from employees who told us who their personal #supercolleagues have been over the past few months.
Wonderful, at times amusing, and at times moving stories, show how these people have enriched our year, how they have made big and important contributions to our work environment every day. Here’s a selection:
Thanks to colleagues like him, we go to work every morning with a smile on our faces and in a good mood. His endearing, intelligent nature and his sense of humor set him apart. For me personally, he can be characterized as the ideal blend of Barack Obama and Stephen Hawking – he’s just the kind of person you like to be around.
I’d like to nominate our Team Lead Kerstin Gehlken. I feel like everything she does and the way she has our backs can’t be given enough recognition. Our team is holding together, which she worked to achieve. She deserves the utmost respect.
If he had only imagined one year ago what tasks and hurdles he would face with the onset of SARS CoV-2 era, he might have slept one more night on his decision to assume responsibility for overall occupational security, which ultimately made him the head of a COVID-19 task force shortly thereafter. I don’t even want to know how often he had someone clinging to his coat-tails this year. He has my utmost respect. Thank you, Tilman!
What else did we notice? During the campaign, our colleagues frequently emphasized that there was no one person for them. Rather, entire teams, through their solidarity, enthusiasm, and creative drive, inspire us to say thank you and express our appreciation.
