Cooperation between TESIS DYNAware and IAV

August 21, 2006 // TESIS DYNAware GmbH and IAV GmbH have entered a cooperation agreement with the aim of creating detailed simulation models for algorithm development and control unit testing. The enDYNA THEMOS engine model is the first result of this cooperation.

enDYNA THEMOS incorporates the physically based models of the THEMOS real-time engine process simulation program. The theoretical model principles for computing the engine cycle using THEMOS have been developed by IAV GmbH and the Faculty for Combustion Engines at the Technical University of Berlin under the scientific direction of Prof. Dr.-Ing. H. Pucher.

enDYNA THEMOS permits the analysis of internal engine parameters, such as combustion, temperature, and pressure characteristic. This provides the capability of developing and testing engine control units (ECUs) for modern diesel and spark-ignition engines. In this regard, importance has been attached to making the simulation models easy to handle. Despite a high degree of detailing, calibration is performed using standard measurement data. Special measurements are not necessary.
