Younger Internet users in particular are increasingly going on the World Wide Web from their cell phones while they are out and about – this is why IAV’s website pages are now being accessed more and more from smart phones. But with cell-phone displays being fairly small, they often cannot show the classic website’s content properly. The mobile version is geared specifically to terminal devices of this type: Text and images are also easy to read and view away from home or the office.
From now one, cell-phone users trying to reach IAV’s website at www.iav.com are automatically redirected to the mobile version. On 60 newly designed pages smart-phone users can find out more or less everything they want to know from the Engineering, About IAV, Careers, Press and Events options. The “I want to go to the desktop version” button takes visitors to the contents of the classic website if they wish to look at the full range of information provided.
Mobile version shows all job vacancies at IAV
The many job vacancies at IAV’s operations around the globe are also shown in the mobile version. A filter system lets visitors search for a specific location, job category or field of work. All very conveniently from their smart phone, they can then send themselves the link to any of the 500-plus jobs on offer and submit their application later on from a computer.
