Commercial vehicles, cranes, excavators, caterpillars, forklift trucks or agricultural machinery, such as tractors and combine harvesters – IAV’s experts know about the specific demands that are placed on these vehicles and assist their customers through every step of the development process in this field too.
Our service begins as early as the system design and simulation phase: We provide our customers with support in defining the requirements on the machine and in designing the best possible system architecture. Model-based development also plays an important part – such as in simulating the drive hydraulics or the entire machine system (in relation to energy, dynamics and the source of energy). We are experts in analyzing communication between interconnected machine systems and can take into account new trends, such as assisted driving and ISOBUS-compliant agricultural machinery as well as automatic functions (such as headland management). In the advance development phase, our engineers simulate the requirements on driving and working hydraulics and optimize these systems. Test planning and implementation complement our service line-up.
We can also develop algorithms for our customers on a turn-key basis – including algorithms for machine systems used in the construction industry, forestry and agriculture, as well as for cranes and special-purpose vehicles. We will also be pleased to take care of calibrating algorithms, an area in which we use a guided model-based calibration process.
For us, safety comes first in all projects – this is why we also develop concepts for functional and technical safety. FMEA and FTA analyses are an integral part of our development systems. Naturally, the solutions we provide also meet all relevant ISO and EN standards.
