Prototyping

We have been building prototypes of all kind for over 15 years

Even though much of the development work today takes place in the virtual world on the computer – prototypes still play an important part. They are the only means that allow us to put the hardware “through its paces” – to examine its endurance limit and suitability for use in mass production, for instance.

This is why, since 1995, our engineers and technicians have constructed some 1,000 prototype vehicles and engines for all manner of different applications and clients – including concept, component and engine mules as well as prototype vehicles, physical mock-ups (PMUs) and stationary engines. Besides one-off specimens, we can also build entire test fleets for endurance and field tests. This is where we work closely with other specialized departments at IAV and can provide you with turn-key, fully operational and approved vehicle prototypes.
