The number of antennas in vehicles is growing all the time – they are responsible for receiving television and radio (AM, FM, DAB, satellite), connecting to the cellular network, receiving satellite navigation data and providing numerous comfort functions (such as door opener, remotely controlling engine-independent heating, “keyless go”). Our antenna experts offer support in the development process from the concept and specification stage to conducting measurements on components and the overall vehicle. We can advise you in selecting antennas and give recommendations on where best to position them – not only taking account of technical aspects but also allowing for your design requirements.

Modern measurement facilities and broad EMC expertise

Our antenna laboratory provides us with the capability, for example, of determining antenna characteristics and sensitivity as well as the performance of electronic components, such as wave traps – up to frequencies of 13 GHz. Our modern measurement facilities also put us in the best possible position for tomorrow’s technologies, such as mobile Internet and LTE (Long-Term Evolution). In everything we develop, we attach great importance to electromagnetic compatibility (EMC): Our antenna and EMC experts work together in one department. This ensures that high-frequency components provide optimum performance even in adverse environments.
