IAV expands in the US with new Test Facility

04/04/2007 // IAV has officially announced the expansion of its US subsidiary and the move from Ann Arbor to Northville Township, MI. The expansion will include engine dynamometers for gasoline, hybrid and diesel projects (including heavy-duty). The announcement was made during the SAE World Congress in Detroit, where Governor Granholm visited IAV's booth to learn more about the company and the expansion plans.

The test facility will encompass state of the art test and measurement equipment to fulfill the ever increasing test requirements for modern powertrain systems. As a result of IAV's strong involvement in production hybrid development programs and the trend to increase powertrain hybridization, the company decided to include a test bench, which is capable of testing complete hybrid systems (engine, electric motor and transmission as one unit) including battery systems. With the expansion, IAV looks forward to further growth in the US and to work with customers on the most exciting powertrain development programs.
