As a Hil Test Engineer, you will Join our automotive development team as a HIL Test Engineer, focusing on designing, developing, and executing HIL test scenarios for braking ECUs and related vehicle functions. Essential skills include automotive communication protocols, ECU testing methodologies, and HIL environments.

Your Tasks

HIL Testing –

  • Develop, execute, and maintain HIL test cases for ECUs
  • Configure and operate HIL benches (dSPACE, NI, Vector, or equivalent).
  • Perform sensor simulation (camera, radar, lidar) and vehicle network simulation (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet).
  • Debug test failures related to software, hardware, and system integration issues.

Test Analysis & Reporting –

  • Analyze logs, traces, and signals using tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, MATLAB, or Python-based tools.
  • Identify root causes, track defects, and collaborate with development teams for resolution.
  • Generate test reports, coverage reports, and release readiness assessments.

Requirement analysis –

  • Create test specifications from system requirements.
  • Perform requirement analysis and ensure test coverage traceability.
  • Participate in reviews and provide feedback on test strategies.

Requirements

Technical Skills –

  • Strong knowledge of automotive system testing and V-model development.
  • Hands-on experience with HIL testing and test automation.
  • Experience with automotive networks (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet).
  • Experience with CANoe, CANalyzer, and network simulations.

Subject-related Skills –

  • Requirement analysis, test case specification, test execution
  • Black-box and white-box testing
  • Automotive domain knowledge, ECU architecture, and diagnostics
  • ISTQB Foundation Level Certification (preferred)

Tools & Standards –

  • HIL tools: dSPACE, NI VeriStand, Vector VT System, or equivalent.
  • Test management tools: DOORS, Polarion, JIRA, ALM, or similar.

Nice to have –

  • Understanding of ADAS architectures, sensors, and ECU communication.
  • Familiarity with ASPICE, ISO 26262, and functional safety concepts.

Soft Skills –

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
