Android Architect

We are looking for an experienced Android Architect to lead the design and implementation of Android Automotive solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Android Automotive architecture, AOSP, and automotive domain requirements, combined with strong leadership and communication skills to drive architecture across distributed development teams.

• Define and implement Android Automotive system/software architecture across all major software layers of Android.
• Work extensively with AOSP code base, including extension points and compatibility aspects.
• Incorporate automotive requirements into Android-based systems (Instrument Cluster, Head Unit, Other Displays).
• Draft, document, implement, and verify software architectures for Android-based software (middleware, apps, System UI) for large, distributed development teams.
• Ensure common architecture implementation across multiple development teams.
• Provide expertise in Android certifications (CTS, GAS) and Projection technologies.
• Support Android system bring-up, BSP adaptation, boot chart analysis, and critical path services.
• Collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders (customers, development teams, suppliers) with minimal support.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Electronics, or related field (education is not a primary consideration given the required experience).
• 12 to 20 years of professional experience in software development teams, with at least 5+ years of Android Automotive architecture.
• Strong know-how of Android Automotive System/Software Architecture.
• Excellent Android software development skills.
• Deep understanding of AOSP code base and automotive domain.
• Knowledge of Android certifications and projection technologies.
• Good knowledge of Android system bring-up and BSP adaptation.
