Software/Function Developer

We are looking for a skilled Software/Function Developer to join our team and contribute to the development of advanced powertrain and exhaust after-treatment solutions. This role involves creating and validating software functions, analyzing requirements, and building models for complex automotive systems. The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills, technical knowledge in internal combustion engines, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and project management.

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related field with 3–5 years relevant experience
• Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, Python, ASCET; nice to have: C/C++
• Physics and chemistry, technical fields like internal combustion engines, exhaust aftertreatment, on-board diagnostics
• Ability to think analytically and abstractly
• Strong problem-solving capabilities
• Efficient communication and management of projects
• Strong background in Powertrain, Internal Combustion Engines, and Exhaust Aftertreatment Systems.
• Demonstrates customer orientation with a focus on client needs, coupled with learning motivation and a proactive approach to technical and communication tasks. Exhibits reflective ability, performance orientation, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

• Creating and developing functions for engine and aftertreatment
• Requirement Analysis: Analyzing requirements and goals
• Pre- and Post-Processing: Handling inputs and outputs of functions
• Model Integration: Combining modules into larger systems/functions
• Model Building: Creating models, including subsystems, defining boundary conditions
• Function development: Development of software function units (e.g., with MATLAB/Simulink)
• Calibration, testing and evaluation: Calculation of calibration parameters, development of corresponding calibration and automation tools, defining and executing test cases
• Participation in tool development projects
• Implementation of features according to specified requirements
