Job Desciption
As a DevOps / Application Lifecycle Engineer, you will play a key role in lifecycle management, ensuring that our backend services are released, deployed, monitored and maintained smoothly within the corporate process. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Lifecycle Management
- Release support within the framework of backend releases.
- Plan and run cyclical regression tests.
- Develop, run and maintain operational scripts.
- Plan and coordinate CarApp deployments, including the CCDM process.
- Attend DevOps-related meetings for our services and create the corresponding tickets.
- Analyze and fix bugs reported through Jira tickets.
- Process tickets on an ongoing basis according to the corporate process (KPM and SC3).
- Maintain ongoing documentation in the Confluence Wiki.
- Monitor used libraries, frameworks and SDKs.
- Provide regular status reporting.
You have solid experience in DevOps and application lifecycle management, and you are comfortable operating containerized services within established corporate delivery processes.
Education and Experience
- Engineering Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in DevOps, build/release or application lifecycle management.
- Experience operating and supporting backend services in production.
- Experience with agile development processes
Required Technical Skills
You have hands-on experience with the following technologies and concepts:
Source control and CI/CD:
- Git / Bitbucket
- Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools
Platforms and operations:
- Linux and Bash commands
- Kubernetes
- Docker
- Certificate handling (.p12, .pem, .jks)
Process and scripting:
- Jira
- Basic Python
The following skills would be appreciated:
- Kibana
- curl
- Basic Scrum knowledge
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work in an international and multicultural environment.
- Strong sense of ownership and operational responsibility.
- Structured and rigorous approach to processes, tickets and documentation.
- Ability to interact with multiple stakeholders, including software teams, system engineers, project managers and customers.
- Proactive mindset and interest in continuous improvement and automation.
- English: minimum level B2 required.
- German: A2 would be appreciated but is not mandatory.
- French: minimum level B2 required.
