Roller test stands as a complete vehicle laboratory in Berlin
Strict emission requirements and complex drive trains mean an ever-increasing amount of testing effort in the automotive industry. At the company’s headquarters in Berlin, IAV has four modern complete vehicle laboratories, which are equipped with roller test benches and, among other things, with emission and power measurement technology. These thus contribute to the safeguarding of efficient drive and vehicle concepts.

As usual in the laboratory, any humidity as well as temperatures from plus 20 °C to 30 °C can be set on the latest IAV roller test bench. Air volume flows of up to 48,000 m3/h at a wind speed of up to 160 km/h can be simulated by means of air flow blowers, which ensure component cooling and more realistic conditions in the laboratory.
In addition to the climate roller test stand and the high-altitude climate roller test stand (HKR), the portfolio in the Berlin laboratory has thus been expanded to include a test stand and vehicle preparation surfaces.
