We are looking for a Function Developer ready to contribute to high-impact electrification projects and help shape the next generation of HV systems.
Job Desciption
As a Function Developer – HV Components, you will play a key role in the development, integration, and validation of functions for electrified vehicle systems. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Develop and implement functions for HV components such as:
- Inverters
- DC/DC converters
- Onboard chargers
- E‑drive systems
- Create control concepts and signal-flow-based models for HV mechatronic systems.
- Define system and software requirements in alignment with customer and regulatory needs.
- Support system and software architecture development for HV systems (e‑drives, charging, power electronics).
- Analyze system behavior and perform function validation and testing activities.
- Support system integration and ensure proper interaction between components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (software, system, validation, project management).
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of system performance, efficiency, and safety.
You have a strong background in electrical or mechatronic systems and experience in function development within electrification domains.
Education and Experience
- Master’s or Engineering degree in:
- Electrical Engineering
- Mechatronics Engineering
- Or a related field
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
- HV component development
- Power electronics
- Electric machine control
- Charging systems
- Mechatronic or electromechanical systems
Required Technical Skills
Must-have
- Strong knowledge in at least one of the following:
- Power electronics
- Electrical machines
- Charging systems
- Solid understanding of:
- Control theory
- Modelling of mechatronic systems
- Hands-on experience with:
- Matlab / Simulink
- Development & collaboration tools:
- GitLab, Jira, Confluence
- Requirements & system engineering tools:
- Codebeamer, DOORS
- Cameo Systems Modeler, Capella, Enterprise Architect
- Calibration & measurement:
- INCA
- Programming:
- Python, C/C++
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work in an international and multicultural environment.
- Strong sense of ownership and operational responsibility.
- Structured and rigorous approach to processes, tickets and documentation.
- Ability to interact with multiple stakeholders, including software teams, system engineers, project managers and customers.
- Proactive mindset and interest in continuous improvement and automation.
- English: minimum level B2 required.
- German: A2 would be appreciated but is not mandatory.
- French: minimum level B2 required.
