The system calculates the injection rate via the dynamic pressure increase in a fuel-filled measuring channel into which the nozzle injects directly. The IAV Cross differs from comparable devices in terms of the measuring principle selected. There are no time delays caused by moving components in the measuring system. The latest innovation and further development is operation with hydrogen as the test medium. IAV offers development services related to hydrogen injection.

Features

The greatest advantage of the IAV Cross is its ability to simultaneously measure both injection rates and injection quantities as individual events and to display the rate signal with the highest precision. Another advantage is that, since there are no moving parts, the measuring unit is particularly low-maintenance and the measurement results are exactly reproducible. In addition, the device is insensitive to cold and heat, which means it can also be used in temperature-controlled chambers.

In addition to the hydraulic unit, the IAV Cross includes a separate electronic unit that records and processes the data and conditions the measurement technology. Control is via powerful software supplied with the device, which is characterized by its user-friendly operation and clear display of all relevant information.

Efficient analysis and integration of measurement data with IAV Cross

In addition to real-time display, it is also possible to analyze stored measurement data in detail and replay it (for example, for presentations). The IAV Cross can also be linked to the user's test bench software via a software interface. This allows integration into your development and testing environment.
