From electric and hybrid solutions to constantly changing requirements for classic drives - today it is necessary to navigate through these multi-layered landscapes with the targeted use of modern methods, tools and supporting systems such as systems engineering. Digitalisation is opening up new paths for development. Innovative concepts such as digital twins, artificial intelligence and cloud technologies are revolutionising the sector. Self-developed digital tools contribute to the efficient and semi-automated use of modern methods. Digitized and automated development

We maximise efficiency through tool-supported development, whereby simulations, semi-automated analyses, test activities and reports are integral components. Our tools support and ensure process conformity.

Data engineering & data science

By systematically collecting and handling large volumes of data from test drives or day-to-day operations and analysing them efficiently, we improve the quality of developed systems and predict their maintenance requirements. This allows us to gain more insights from less fleet data.

Roller test benches as a complete vehicle laboratory in Berlin

IAV meets the challenges of the automotive industry with state-of-the-art chassis dynamometers and complete vehicle laboratories in Berlin, which contribute to the development of efficient drive and vehicle concepts.

Hydrogen combustion test bench

In view of stricter CO2 limits, the development of emission-free drive technologies is becoming increasingly important. IAV is testing hydrogen combustion engines in Gifhorn, a promising path to H2 mobility for heavy commercial vehicles.
