This challenge awaits you:
Thermal management in electric vehicles fulfills safety-relevant and user comfort-specific requirements and is in conflict with the range. To resolve this conflict, the automotive industry is researching and developing innovative topologies and operating strategies that vary depending on the vehicle class and market. To optimize and accelerate this process, we are integrating a tool for the use of optimization algorithms and artificial intelligence in thermal management design. To further develop the tool, we are looking for independent students with experience in AI and vehicle technology.
Your Tasks:
- You get to grips with the existing tool and analyze its strengths and challenges.
- You evaluate and further develop the methodological concept.
- You expand the simulation model to increase performance.
- You support the plausibility check of the model with the help of real driving data.
- You develop and integrate new functions and a control strategy.
Necessary Skills:
- Ongoing studies in the field of automotive engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or a comparable course of study
- Experience in dealing with model-based modeling (e.g. in Matlab/Simulink, GT Suite)
- Initial experience in the field of thermal management of electric vehicles and its optimization
- Initial knowledge of artificial intelligence including initial programming experience
- Independent with a creative approach
- Good knowledge of German and English (at least B2 level)

- Good communication skills and willingness to change
The salary is based on our collective wage and salary agreement. The current monthly salary for this position is EUR 979.
