From Engineering Excellence to AI Leadership

How IAV drives innovation and customer value

As an AI-infused Tech Solution Provider, we make one thing clear: Artificial Intelligence is not an add-on for us – it is a core part of engineering. This became visible last week in Berlin, where our leadership team engaged in high-level exchanges with international experts, customers, and political leaders on the future of AI.

AI is already embedded in many of our projects, driving quality, safety, and efficiency today. One example is IAV Devpanion, our AI-powered SaaS tool that checks requirements against technical specifications, identifies gaps, and delivers concrete suggestions for improvement. This demonstrates how we open new business models with AI – and how our engineering expertise translates advanced technology into practical customer value.

“To unlock the full potential of AI, we need a reliable framework that enables responsible action without slowing innovation. Just as important are modern data access, open talent pathways, and clear, workable rules. Only then can AI strategies truly scale – strengthening our economy and delivering better outcomes for society.”

Our positioning as an AI player also became visible in Berlin. Sam Altman (CEO of OpenAI) was honored with the Axel Springer Award. On stage, our CEO Joerg Astalosch contributed to the discussion on trust, ethics, and scalability in AI. The following day, at the WELT AI Summit, CDO Saskia Kohlhaas, CHRO Jens Pfitzinger, Head of IAV Innovation Studio Christian Nabert, and Joerg Astalosch represented IAV in dialogue with international executives about how AI can scale responsibly and deliver real value across industries.

“Europe doesn’t have a tech AI problem. We have a speed problem and a regulation reflex. To enable more AI value creation, we need to move faster – with iterative regulation and clear guardrails instead of lengthy committees. What Europe needs now is scale, not pilots.”

The two days in Berlin underlined our role as a Tech Solution Provider: combining decades of engineering excellence with AI competence and strong networks to actively shape an evolving ecosystem – far beyond automotive. We will solve it.
