We are pleased to announce IAV SPARK26 (Symposium on Pre-ignition, Auto-ignition, Reactivity, and Knock). Submit your groundbreaking research and join a community of visionaries who are shaping the future of these constantly evolving technologies.
There is no doubt that the mobility of the future means diversity. A wide variety of powertrain concepts will be available depending on the vehicle category, area of application, and region of use. The ICE will continue to play a key role for a long time to come, especially in hybrid powertrains.
Furthermore, the ICE will increasingly come into contact with alternative fuels of synthetic and biological origin and will be upgraded accordingly.
The resulting development tasks and goals are diverse, and further significant improvements can still be achieved. The focus is on increasing efficiency, reducing emissions, and compatibility with alternative fuels.
To offer all interested developers an inspiring exchange platform for the latest developments in this context, IAV established two exciting conferences more than two decades ago, which are recently joined to the IAV SPARK (Symposium on Pre Ignition, Auto Ignition, Reactivity, and Knock). After our first edition in 2025 in the US, we are happy to be back in Europe and looking ahead to the next edition in fall 2026 in Berlin/Stuttgart. In this respect, we are looking forward to your presentation proposals on the following topics in particular:
Topics
- Ignition and inflammation of conventional and alternative fuels such as hydrogen, ammonia, methanol, etc.
- Combustion processes for alternative fuels
- Prevention of irregular combustion phenomena when using conventional & alternative fuels
- Latest technologies enabling cleaner or/and more efficient combustion processes
- Methods for measurement and analysis of irregular combustion phenomena
- Modern virtual development methods
- Control, regulation and latest function algorithms
- AI-based development methods as well as control algorithms
