Challenge
Modern control units must operate reliably, safely, and efficiently—while at the same time, demands for scalability, modularity, functional safety, and cybersecurity are increasing. Custom control unit architectures, high configuration effort, and limited resources make it difficult to develop stable AUTOSAR systems. What is needed is powerful, field-proven basic software that can be flexibly adapted—and, above all, with minimal effort—to different projects and hardware platforms.
The IAV Solution
IAV Saar is an AUTOSAR Classic Basic software stack that serves as a stable and scalable foundation for a wide variety of control units. The architecture complies with the AUTOSAR standard and is designed so that available software components can be automatically and specifically adapted to customer-specific requirements—for example, in diagnostics or communication. IAV Saar combines low resource requirements with high flexibility and was developed as an industry-ready platform for series production and pre-series projects.
