IAV SonicSeek learns different acoustic “signatures,” trains corresponding neural networks, and, on this basis, enables the detection of acoustic anomalies and their classification into predefined categories.

AI hears what you don’t hear!

In the automotive sector, for example, SonicSeek can be integrated into modern vehicles via the infotainment system and record live acoustic data via the on-board microphones. This data can then be transmitted to cloud computing services for further analysis. This allows sources of error to be quickly identified and damage to vehicles and people to be prevented, from production and quality assurance to private use by customers.

However, it is not only vehicle manufacturers who benefit from IAV SonicSeek. The solution delivers valuable results in all industries where mechanical systems are used. Microphones can be implemented in production machines, wind turbines, or aircraft, which then record analysis data, also via live transmission, and immediately detect malfunctions through acoustic diagnosis. What is SonicSeek?

Development of a neural network structure: In collaboration with the Technical University of Braunschweig, we have researched a wide range of neural network structures to determine which ones are best suited to overcoming the challenges of acoustic diagnosis. Our unique solution features a specially parameterized combination of convolutional and recurrent network layers.

High performance thanks to cloud-based processing pipeline: Through numerous optimization iterations, we have continuously refined preprocessing, AI training, and postprocessing. The entire process chain is integrated into a powerful, cloud-based processing pipeline. This enables us to provide a cost-efficient and scalable solution.
