HEAT: The autonomous Shuttle
Is it possible to have a shuttle for local passenger transport driving completely autonomously through busy cities, connected at all times to the control centre of a transport company? With the autonomous shuttle HEAT (Hamburg Electric Autonomous Transportation), an autonomous shuttle is on the road for the first time under real traffic conditions in the middle of a German city with passengers on board – and is available for the experience by a wide mass of people. The test drives on public roads provide us with the necessary insights to be safe, connected and autonomous on the road at all times.
