Forty years ago, when IAV was founded, “digitalization” was a new word in Germany. Today, everything runs on bits and bytes, the automobile has become a “software defined vehicle”, i.e. a vehicle that is defined by digital technology. This is also fundamentally changing IAV’s work as an engineering service provider.

Dr. Uwe Horn, Director of Labor Relations and Managing Director at IAV, uses the company’s birthday as an opportunity to look back and look forward. And thinks that “40 years is a really good age”.
